Strikes in harbour and construction go on, solidarity march in Rotterdam

Harbour and construction workers are on strike for the second week for automatic indexation for employees. During the morning rush their was no public transport in a number of places because of the strike actions. To add force to their demands a so-called solidarity march is held in Rotterdam, in which about 25.000 people have participated. SHOTS: street footage with empty roads and people waiting on the pavement; several of strike actions a.o. at a new development project in Almere and in the harbours of Rotterdam; demonstration the Coolsingel in Rotterdam with a fragment of the speech by union leader Wim Kok ("not only a full indexation, but also a real raise of two percent on top of that"), with pan of crowd; some harbour companies that are not on strike, a.o. in the Waal harbour; ships waiting offshore for the end of the strike.
